Jaecool J7 PHEV Officially Launches On Beijing Auto Show 2024, Take A Peek At The Specifications

JAKARTA - The premium submerek Jaecool from Chery officially launched J7 Plug in Hybrid (PHEV) at the Beijing Auto Show 2024 exhibition, which took place at the China International Exhibition Center (Shonyi Hall, Beijing).

Quoting from the Paultan page, Saturday, April 27, 2024, at first glance the car that enters the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment has almost the same design as the standard version (Jaecko J7), of course the difference is under the engine hood.

Jaecool J7 PHEV carries a 1.5 l TGDi engine paired with Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), and an electric motor on the front. The machine produces a combined power of 347 PS and torques reaching 525 Nm.

In comparison, the conventional gasoline (standard) version is equipped with a 1.6 liter TGDi engine powered by 197 PS and a 290 Nm torque.

This one car is claimed to be capable of running only with battery power up to 88 km. Fuel consumption can reach 20.4 km/liter.

Meanwhile, Jaecool J7 PHEV is claimed to be able to reach up to 1,200 km when the gasoline condition is full, but it needs to be checked for returns because it is just a claim.

Unlike most other PHEV models, the Jaecool J7 PHEV has DC fast charging capabilities, seen in CCS2 ports embedded in the back of the vehicle, and has Vehicle to Load (V2L) capabilities. However, there are no details about the charging.

In more detail, this SUV comes with a new rim measuring 19 inches with a closed design. The design is similar to the Omoda E5 which is indeed the hallmark of the PHEV variant.

As is known, this one model will also enliven the Asian market, as well as in Malaysia where Jaecool J7 can already be ordered.

Meanwhile, in Indonesia, this one car will launch next year. Chery, which is the auspices of the brand, is testing in various regions in the country.
