Ahead Of Next Tuesday's Debut, Toyota Reveals The Sixth Generation Of 4Runner Leaks

Toyota just released the first teaser for the latest 4Runner last week, but on April 4, United States (US) time, Toyota again gave a little leak about the formidable SUV.

Through images and videos released by the company, Toyota showcases the rear window of 4 Runners of thekeanm generation which can be fully opened, one of the characteristics of this car. The Japanese manufacturer also confirmed its debut of 4Runner on Tuesday, April 9.

Reporting from Motor1, just like the latest Land Cruiser, Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia, as well as the Lexus GX and LX, the sixth generation 4Runner will use Toyota's TNGA-F truck platform. As a tradition, this car will carry a sturdy body-on-frame chassis, and is predicted to be under the latest Land Cruiser in the off-road Toyota SUV lineup.

The machine used by 4Runner is thought to be similar to the latest Tacoma. This means that the basic engine being carried is a four-cylindrical 2.4-liter turbocharged engine, with a hybrid powertrain option as a possibility in the future. In the standard version of Tacoma, the machine produces 220 dk, while in other models it soars to 278 dk. Meanwhile, the i-Force Max hybrid powertrain offers 326 dk generated from the combination of the engine with an electric motor.

In 2023, Toyota will release 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition, only 4,040 units for the US market.

As usual, the latest 4Runners will be present in various trims, ranging from SR5 as the basic variant to the luxurious Limited, as well as the favorite trim of off-road lovers, TRD Pro.
