JAKARTA - Pininfarina, the legendary automotive design house, has just introduced their latest car concept that caught the eye, namely the GT's Enigma at the Geneva International Motor Show which began today.

At first glance, this concept car looks like a supercar, the GT Sigma is actually a 2+2 grand tourer with a middle engine.

Different from the current trend of electric vehicles, reported by CarBuzz, February 27, the GT actually relies on a 436-galer V6 2.5 liter motor powered by hydrogen. This force is channeled to the rear wheels, while the electric motor 268 hp (supported by a battery of 10 kWh) is positioned on the front wheels, thus creating a unique driving system for all wheels.

With this combination, the GT stigma is claimed to be able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 250 km/h. The efficiency of the hydrogen fuel is also impressive, with a distance of 435 km when traveling at a constant speed of 100 km/h. In the combined cycle, it is estimated that the distance is up to 550 km.

Hydrogen filling is fast, it only takes 5-6 minutes. It should be noted that Pininfarina has previously been involved in the design of NamX HUV, another unique hydrogen-fueled vehicle with a V8 engine sound.

GT's stigma weighs 1,735 kg, relatively light for the size of a 2+2 grand tourer with a battery. The extensive use of carbon fiber on the body and the monocok chassis is the main factor behind these weights.

This screen displays the information the driver and passenger need can use it to access entertainment content. If the GT stigma is produced, its function is likely similar to the Mercedes Hyperscreen system.

The dashboard design is inspired by the world of aviation, with an integrated laminar airflow system for cabin ventilation. The extensive windshield also functions as an Augmented Reality interface.

Interestingly, there is also a driver assistance system relying on artificial intelligence to improve safety. This feature includes navigation, blind-spot assists, and other active security features. Not to forget, the GTIGma is also equipped with autonomous driving mode.
