Porsche Introduces Third Hybrid Variant of Cayenne

JAKARTA - Porsche is again expanding the ranks of hybrid cars by presenting the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, the third plug-in variant of the luxury Cayenne SUV series which has just undergone a thorough update.

The Cayenne S E-Hybrid is the third electrification engine variant in this model series and is placed between the Cayenne E-Hybrid and the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. Reported by the company's media space, today, September 26, the latest Cayenne S E-Hybrid 2024 carries balanced driving dynamics, high-level comfort, and efficiency.

With a focus on a good balance between everyday use and performance, the S E-hybrid, which is available in the body variant of the SUV and the Coupe SUV.

This new hybrid technology from Cayenne, which has undergone a thorough revision since the start of this year by providing better electrical coverage and short charging time thanks to smart energy management.

In the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, the V6 3.0 L turbo engine, which has been revised with power of 260 kW/353 PS, is paired with a 130 kW (176 PS) electric motor. The combined power of both reached system output of 382 kW (519 PS) and maximum system torque of 750 Nm. The Cayenne S E-Hybrid is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and has a maximum speed of up to 263 km/hour.

The new E-hybrid S model also benefits from optimizing the current generation of Cayenne hybrid systems. Porsche complements this new car with a battery capacity of 25.9 kWh, with pure electric range of up to 90 km, as a result, most daily trips can be done without emission. Meanwhile, the full charge of the Cayenne S E-hybrid battery only takes less than two and a half hours on electrical resources that fit up to 11 kW of charging capacity.

Visually, the Cayenne S E-hybrid is also well integrated in the existing lineup of models. It is equipped with a 20-inch Cayenne S rim as standard and is equipped with a double exhaust system of polished stainless steel.

In addition, what is interesting is to drive at night security and convenience supported by standard matrix LED lights. An innovative HD matrix LED light is also available as an additional option.

Some of the standard features that drivers can enjoy include an eight-setting chair, a Sportten package that includes a mode switch to choose a driving program, a stainless steel pad pedal, and a Diamar interior package painted in Silver Economy color.

Porsche was the first automaker to allow easier access to car functions in CarPlay. Drivers also benefit from various new functions in the My Porsche app, including new functions in Apple CarPlay.

At the new Cayenne S E-Hybrid, additional convenience is provided by an optional passenger screen that includes the in-car video function, as well as a new air quality system designed to filter out particles and harmful substances.

The base price of the Cayenne S E-Hybrid 2024 starts at 99,100 US dollars or around IDR 1.5 billion while the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe is more expensive starting at IDR 1.6 billion, both prices don't include shipping costs. Delivery is scheduled to start in November 2023.
