JAKARTA - Honda, a Japanese vehicle manufacturer, has revived the kei car market with the launch of the latest generation of N-Box. Like kei cars in general, the latest N-Box comes with a compact dimension.
While preliminary views may not show much change from its predecessor, Honda has actually made some improvements in design for this latest generation.
Reporting from Carscoops on Thursday, August 3, a number of design changes were seen, especially in the body. The front is designed simpler with a gripper covering that matches the body color.
Honda also presents a new LED light with a round design that resembles a human eye. To improve aerodynamics, there is a widened lower intake with a touch of charming spatbor.
The side look stiff but compact, with black pillars and sliding doors reminiscent of MPV type. On the back, the LED lights are slimmer and placed between the back doors.
Not only the standard variant, Honda also offers N-Box Custom which appears in a more luxurious and sporty style. The difference includes a wider grip with LED lights on both sides, as well as lighting lines surrounding the grip.
Furthermore, Honda provides several option packages, such as "Fashion Style" with rearview mirrors and white door handles, as well as dual-tone rims that are different in color to the body. Other packages are "Coordinate Style" which includes dark chrom trims, black aluminum rims, and a touch of bi-tone on the exterior.
Even though it is compact in size, the interior of this car remains comfortable for the family. The latest Honda N-Box is equipped with a 9-inch infotainment touch screen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster behind the wheel.
Other facilities include a practical side storage pocket, a cup spot for all passengers, as well as additional shelves on top of the dashboard that allows storage of items underneath.
The standard model features light plastic and cloth, while the Custom variant displays a darker atmosphere with a leather-style seat. This Kei car is also equipped with Honda Sensing radar safety features and the front side airbag.
