JAKARTA Memories of today, eight years ago, April 2, 2015, Indonesia's famous director, Garin Nugroho celebrates 30 years of working in the film world. The graduate of the Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ) took place in Bale Handap and Amphitheater, Tuesday Sunaryo Art Space, Bandung.

The event titled 30 Years of Work: Image of Idoep Garin Nugroho was greeted with great fanfare with a variety of presentations. Previously, Garin's career in Indonesian cinema was brilliant. He has received various achievements from within and outside the country.

Garin's interest in the world of film has grown since childhood. The actions made him go to the cinema on the same day. Especially for the film genre, he is not picky. Garin bribed everything. From action to drama films. However, the desire to watch the film is often disturbed.

Not every day Garin has money. He then tactics. The policy of many cinemas in Yogyakarta is that they give free tickets to people who bring their children times. He then just asked the adult cinema audience to recognize him as a child so he could keep watching.

Since the 1990s, the graduate of the Jakarta Arts Institute has continued to have international awards. Garin's film has gained access to world festivals such as Berlin, Cannes, and Tokyo. Of his many works, Surat untuk Bidadari dan Bulan Tertik Ialang won the Fipresci Award and Netpac Prize at the Berlin Film Festival in 1995. The film Daun di Atas Pillow won the 1998 Cannes International Film Festival Untain Regard award, in a Tempo Magazine report entitled Garin Nugroho 42 Years (2003).
