JAKARTA - K-pop idol group Bangtan Seonyeondan (BTS) conveyed a message of hope to their fans or Army through an online concert titled "BTS Permission To Dance On Stage" on Sunday (24/10).

Their message of hope was conveyed when performing the song "Permission to Dance" in a concert broadcast live from an empty stadium in Seoul, South Korea to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As quoted from Yonhap, Monday, this will be BTS's first global online concert in about a year since "BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E" which was held in October last year.

The seven members of the group opened the concert with "On," a track from their fourth full album, "Map of the Soul: 7," presenting the group's strong choreography.

They then heated up the atmosphere by performing their hit songs, such as "Fire", "Dope", "DNA", "Blood, Sweat and Tears" and "Fake Love."

After the opening performance, Jimin greeted the virtual fans. "We are really looking forward to this day, and we are grateful and honored to be able to prepare (for this concert) and meet you," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 25.

Jungkook said, "Although we weren't able to see you today, it's an honor for us to be able to show you."

BTS doesn't miss out on its global hits, such as "Dynamite," which once topped Billboard's main chart, "Life Goes On" and "Butter."

V, who experienced pain in his calf muscles during the previous day's rehearsal, performed sitting and did not perform the choreography.

"There were mistakes during rehearsals and rehearsals for concerts. I'm really fine, so you guys don't have to worry too much. If I could, I wanted to run to the stage," he said.

BTS' appearance was enlivened by the presence of computer-generated visual effects and images displayed on large LED screens in the stadium.

As the show nears the finale, "Spring Day" is performed. BTS performed as many songs as the concert which lasted about two and a half hours. This concert took place after the group canceled the world tour "BTS Map of the Soul Tour," due to the pandemic.

Going forward, BTS is scheduled to hold the first face-to-face concert in Los Angeles in two years next month. "BTS Permission To Dance On Stage - LA" will be held at SoFi Stadium on November 27 and 28, and December 1 and 2, 2021.
