JAKARTA - Ahmad Dhani is one of the legendary musicians in Indonesia. Every work that he releases is always a favorite of the audience and is timeless.

But recently, he thought the band was dead. Although nowadays listeners can explore music more broadly, none of them caters to the genre of bands in Indonesia.

He explained that the bands of the past tried to keep their names, such as Coldplay, Pearl Jam, and others. Dhani thought that many were looking at Dewa 19 because there were no other bands.

"When that person's work didn't die, yes, in the 90s, God existed. In the 2000s, God existed. In 2021, God still exists. In my opinion, legend is not taste. Legend is not an assumption but proof," Ahmad Dhani was quoted as saying. from Pop Today.

Unfortunately, music observer Idhar Resmadi felt that Dhani's opinion about the band was naive. The number of people who hear Dewa 19 is not directly proportional to the quality of the band itself.

In Indonesia, he said that there are several bands that have their own fan mass, such as .Feast and The Panturas, but they are not as big as other bands, including Dewa 19.

Like Coldplay and Pearl Jam, Ahmad Dhani also tries to maintain the existence of Dewa 19 by collaborating with musicians such as Yura Yunita, Maliq n'D'Essentials, Pamungkas and others. Currently the band is no longer dependent on independent or major labels, but the important thing is how to win the hearts of listeners.
