4 Months In Prison Vicky Prasetyo Makes Kalina Oktarani Cry, Lawyer Still Considering Appeal

JAKARTA - The panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court sentenced Vicky Prasetyo to a prison sentence of 4 months and the detention period of Vicky Prasetyo. Vicky Prasetyo was proven to have violated Article 335 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) regarding Unpleasant Acts of Angel Lelga.

"The defendant Hendrianto has been sentenced to four months in prison and his prison term has been reduced," said the presiding judge at the trial, Thursday, September 9. The decision was greeted with tears and hugs by Vicky's wife, Kalina Oktarani.

This case is the aftermath of Vicky Prasetyo's raid on Angel Lelga in November 2018. The raid was carried out because Vicky Prasetyo suspected that Angel Lelga, who was still his wife at that time, was having an affair and adultery with a man named Fiki Alman.

Vicky Prasetyo's attorney, Ramdan Alamsyah, said his client was disappointed with the judge's decision. "If we are disappointed, we are very disappointed. We want our client not to be found guilty. But the judge said otherwise," said Ramdan.

According to Vicky Prasetyo's attorney, Ramdan Alamsyah, his client has been in detention for 2 months and 10 days. Because Vicky Prasetyo received a detention suspension, he was finally released from the Salemba Rutan on September 17, 2020.

"Our client has served more than half of his prison term. We are still considering whether to accept or appeal," he added. If within 7 days there is no appeal, then the decision will remain in effect and Vicky Prasetyo must serve the remainder of his sentence.
