Jefri Nichol Joins The Challenge Of Freedom Of Speech

JAKARTA - Aum! starring Jefri Nichol and Chicco Jerikho released a trailer and poster ahead of its release time. In the trailer and poster, it can be seen how enthusiastic Jefri Nichol and Chicco Jerikho are voicing their opinions.

This story is in line with the original idea of the director, Bambang “Ipoenk” KM when he collected the initial idea for making this film. "This film questions the goals and ideals of Indonesia's reform struggle, while at the same time reminding that the struggle is not over," said Bambang "Ipoenk" in a release received by VOI, Monday, August 30.

“It is a pleasure to be involved in this production, with a very extraordinary director and team, this film has its own uniqueness in a way of speaking which in my opinion will give a new color to Indonesian cinema. This film is very special, a film that addresses serious issues by roaring!” said Chicco Jerikho.

Aum Movies! tells the story of a group of young people who struggle for freedom of speech. They carried out the struggle ahead of the 1998 reforms, where it put them at risk because they were under the strict supervision of the authorities.

“Hopefully this film can inspire today's young generation, to continue the struggle of previous generations in upholding democracy and freedom of expression which always has different challenges in each generation. The latest original film from Online Cinema will start showing on September 30, 2021 at Online Cinema. Aum! movie tickets which also stars Dena script and Agnes Natasya Tjie can be purchased at Online Cinemas from August 29 to September 2 at a price of Rp. 5,000.
