SBY Appears In The Tomorrow War, Deputy Secretary General Of Democrats: That's A Snippet, Not Participating In The Film

JAKARTA - Amazon Prime has just released the latest film produced by Paramount Pictures, entitled The Tomorrow War. One week after its release, the film immediately took the top spot on all US streaming platforms. In fact, Amazon Studios and Skydance are reportedly planning to produce a sequel to the film.

The Tomorrow War will initially hit theaters. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the studio and Skydance to sell the film to Amazon for $200 million.

The film debuted on Prime Video on July 2 in over 240 countries, and various third-party viewing companies reported high ratings for the film.

Screen Engine's PostVOD claims that The Tomorrow War was the top feature film on streaming platforms over the holiday weekend, but Amazon hasn't announced the number of viewers yet.

In the trailer for The Tomorrow War, there is a figure who stole the attention of the Indonesian people, namely the appearance of the sixth President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). He appears in the scene when world leaders meet to agree on sending soldiers to the future.

SBY's meeting with world leaders is said to take place in 2022. In this film scene, SBY is shown in a news report shaking hands with other world leaders.

The Hollywood film stars The Guardian of the Galaxy stars, Chris Pratt and JK Simons (Whiplash). The film, directed by Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie) tells the story of a war against aliens in 2051. Involving the story of time travel in its plot, The Tomorrow War looks futuristic.

When confirmed regarding the appearance of SBY in the film The Tomorrow War, Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) of the Democratic Party Imelda Sari explained that SBY did not participate in the filming of the film.

"It's a trailer, not a movie," said Imelda, when contacted by VOI, Sunday, July 18.

Furthermore, SBY did not know that his figure would appear in the film directed by Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie). That is, the scene in the film becomes a surprise.
