Im Soo Jung And Lee Do Hyun Work Together In Korean Drama 'Melancholia'

JAKARTA - Today, Thursday, July 8, the television station tvN confirmed the joining of Im Soo Jung and Lee Do Hyun in the Korean drama Melancholia.

Im Soo Jung will be playing the high school math teacher Ji Yoon Soo who is very stubborn but looks good. She has such a passion for mathematics that she continues to encourage her students to find answers.

Lee Do Hyun plays Baek Seung Yoo, a student nicknamed a math genius. He doesn't say much and enjoys his time with a DSLR camera more.

Baek Seung Yoo once dominated math olympiads and entered the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at the age of 10 and dropped out at the age of 12.

Melancholia will be set in a high school that contains cases of corruption and sexual scandals. The interaction between the mathematics teacher and his students will be revealed here.

Melancholia was written by Kim Ji Un who worked on Doctor John, while Kim Sang Hyun (Extraordinary You, True Beauty) sat on the director's bench.

This drama is Im Soo Jung's latest project after doing Search: WWW in 2019. Likewise, Lee Do Hyun chose Melancholia as the third drama this year after Beyond Evil and Youth of May.

Melancholia is scheduled to air from the second half of this year on tvN.
