JAKARTA - A recent survey revealed that 82 percent of new festival-goers felt comfortable attending live music events within one to six months after the outbreak of COVID-19 was lifted.

The survey follows the huge impact that pagebluk will have on the live music calendar around the world in 2020. A number of major festivals and tours were canceled, postponed or rescheduled due to the health crisis.

The survey, which was initiated by Festicket, involved more than 110,000 festivalgoers from across the UK and Europe in an effort to better understand music fans' readiness to return to live music events after the COVID-19 outbreak subsided and key locks were removed.

The survey found that 82 percent of respondents would feel confident attending the festival within one to six months after their keys were removed. Of that result, 31 percent of them said they would be happy to attend a live music event after the kuncitara ended.

Only 11 percent of respondents said they would only feel comfortable attending live music events again after the COVID-19 vaccine was developed.

The Festicket survey also found that the one-day festival was the preferred event among the majority of respondents with 83 percent choosing the format as the event they felt most comfortable attending. Meanwhile, 68 percent of respondents said they would be comfortable attending a weekend festival.

More than 75 percent of respondents also said they felt confident about booking tickets for shows and festivals that will take place in 2021 - although it should be noted that more than 82 percent said that an event cancellation policy would be a top consideration when booking tickets for future music events.

Earlier, Wednesday, May 27, the Primavera Sound Festival announced the first 100 performers in their line-up for the 2021 festival.
