JAKARTA - The K-pop group AESPA ranks first on the biggest chart in South Korea, Melon.

More than a month after its release, aespa's song Next Level reached number one on the Melon 24Hits chart as of June 21. 24Hits is a music chart that calculates based on the number of listeners for 24 hours.

Today, June 22, the song Next Level looks still at the top. Now, aespa is the first girl group to rank first in 24Hits since the system was first launched in July 2020.

Released on May 17, the song Next Level dominated the South Korean and international charts. This song also entered the Billboard, QQ Music, Kuwo Music, and Kugou Music charts.

The music video, which was released on the same day, has also seen more than 100 million views. This proves aespa as a rookie monster because less than a year of their debut, they have scored new achievements.

Aespa is the newest K-pop group from the SM Entertainment agency. The group consists of four members: Karina, Winter, Ningning, and Giselle. The four debuted with the song Black Mamba in November 2020.
