Zoë Kravitz Makes Director's Debut In Pussy Island

JAKARTA - Actress Zoë Kravitz will make her directorial debut in a thriller film titled Pussy Island. He co-wrote this film with ET Feigenbaum. Bruce Cohen, as well as Tiffany Persons and starring Channing Tatum.

Pussy Island tells the story of a woman named Frida who works mixing cocktails in Los Angeles. Frida is attracted to philanthropist businessman Slater King (Channing Tatum).

When she makes her way into the circle of friends and a party on King's private island, Frida goes on the big journey of her life. Even so, Frida realized the island had something more terrifying than what she saw.

Launching Deadline today, Wednesday, June 16, Kravitz has been working on the script for several years. He wanted to focus on the dynamics of gender and power in his first film.

“The title (of the film) has many meanings. I started writing it in 2017. As a woman and in this industry, I have had a lot of experiences with the opposite sex,” she said.

Channing Tatum was the first choice to play Slater King. “Chan is the first person I thought of when writing this character. I know from the Magic Mike movie and his performance, I think he's a feminist who wants to explore this issue."

Tatum openly accepted this offer because he had never before received a role like Slater King.
