Celebrating 5 Years Of Debut, BLACKPINK Releases Mysterious Teaser

JAKARTA - BLACKPINK released a mysterious teaser through their social media today, June 15. The teaser is a cryptic image with the words 4+1 PROJECT.

They also include a link to a site featuring a similar image. The title suggests four members with the number one meaning the new year.

This reminds fans of the fifth BLACKPINK debut celebration on August 8.

Quoting the Heraldbiz on the same day, YG Entertainment responded to the rumors by saying, "In order to meet the love and expectations of many people, we are planning several projects."

BLACKPINK debuted on August 8, 2016 with the single album Square One containing Whistle and BOOMBAYAH. Since their debut, the songs they release always occupy local and international music charts.

Meanwhile, the BLACKPINK members are busy with their individual projects. Rosé just released her single album R in March and became the first female solo singer to sell the most albums in 19 years.

Recently, Lisa became a collaborator for iKON on the Kingdom stage. Lisa is also rumored to have a duet with DJ Snake for a song.

While Jisoo is busy with filming the Korean drama Snowdrop which is planned to air this year.
