JAKARTA - Works in the form of accessories designed by Indonesian designers are increasingly appearing on the international stage. One of the latest works comes from Rinaldy A. Yunardi who was again entrusted to make a head ornament for world singer Shakira.

The accessory was used in the music video for the song "Choka Choka", a collaboration between Shakira and Brazilian singer Anitta.

"I am happy and proud to get a request back from Shakira for the third time to wear my work," said Rinaldy.

The designer from Medan revealed that the request for the tiara was received about a month and a half ago. However, Shakira's team did not provide detailed design directions.

"Because it was not given in detail, I had to study and look back at Shakira's style on social media and previous video clips," he said, as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 7.

Rinaldy explained that the process of making the tiara took about a month. He used metal and wire materials with detailed carvings and dodokans inspired by the characteristics of Indonesian jewelry ornaments.

The head decoration was then combined with crystals and chains on the right and left sides to strengthen the glamorous and artistic impression.

"I always try to give beautiful and best works, hopefully it will fit and complete the total look order that he wants," said Rinaldy.

Furthermore, he hopes that his works can continue to bring elements of Indonesian culture to the global stage through the world of fashion and accessories.

"Because diverse culture is a wealth, an identity that can be proud of. Because I love working and love culture for Indonesia and the world," he said.
