JAKARTA - Actress Lutesha again showed her totality in the latest horror film project titled Cerita Lila. However, there is something different this time. Instead of just scaring, Lutesha actually feels challenged by the depth of the drama that she has to play.

Met at the launch event for the film's trailer, the actress, who is familiarly called Ute, admitted that she was shocked when she first saw her visual on the big screen. He didn't expect his facial expression when playing the possessed character to look so intense.

"Good afternoon everyone. I didn't expect that a lot of my face was possessed and strange, I didn't expect it at all," he laughed in South Jakarta, Wednesday, July 27.

Initially, Lutesha thought that his collaboration project with director Bobby Prasetyo was just a horror film in general that sold scenes of possession and ghost figures. He admitted that he was excited because he felt that playing the devil was a fun thing.

"At first, Mas Bopi was said to be like 'oh there's this horror movie', oh come on, we're possessed again, we want to be demons," recalled Lutesha.

However, his perception immediately changed drastically after he received and read the complete script in depth.

"But when I read the script, wow... it's really heavy! In terms of character, Tari's character is very emotional, it's really a roller coaster, it's really heavy in terms of drama," he said.

For Lutesha, the role as Tari gave him a new experience that he had never found in previous horror projects. The combination of horror genres that lean towards heavy drama is the main reason for accepting this challenge.

"That's what challenged me, because I had never played a horror film before, but the genre is more inclined towards drama," continued the Penyalin Cahaya film actor.

Lutesha's totality is not obtained instantly. He told how intense the preparation or reading process was before filming began. So much so that the escalation of emotions required, some scenes even had to be repeated many times only during the training process.

"There are a lot of (specific conversations with the director), especially when we read, there are some scenes that we have to read again because there is a fairly extreme escalation of emotions and it has to be repeated many times like that," he said.

Even though he had to drain his emotions, Lutesha felt very helped by the openness of the director, Mas Bopi, in exploring his acting ability.

"It's fun with Mas Bobby, we explore like 'what else Te, what else Te', want to turn around, want to do what else acrobatics. So the process is fun," concluded Lutesha.

The film Cerita Lila will also be played by Shareefa Danish, Sara Wijayanto, Wisnu Hardana and others. The film is scheduled to be released on June 18.
