YOGYAKARTA - With more than 12,500 beaches, Australia deserves to be called a paradise for beach lovers. This year, the kangaroo country released a list of the 10 best beaches that show the richness of its coastal landscape. This list was curated by Brad Farmer AM, a beach expert and Australian Tourism Beach Ambassador.

This year, Farmer named Bate Bay in New South Wales as the best beach in Australia. The second place was taken by Pinky Beach on Rottnest Island. More complete, here is a review of the 10 best beaches in Australia and their respective attractions.

Bate Bay

Bate Bay is a collection of nine beaches south of Sydney. This area has a beautiful stretch of golden sand along 4.8 kilometers which includes Greenhills, Wanda, Elouera, to Cronulla and Oak Park. In this area there are also four ocean pools and swimming areas in Gunnamatta Bay.

Pinky Beach

Pinky Beach is famous for its very white sand, calm blue-green water, and the iconic Bathurst Lighthouse overlooking the bay. This beach is like a protected paradise. Pinky Beach is also the best place to watch the sunset in Western Australia over the Indian Ocean

Beachcomber Cove

Beachcomber Cove in Queensland is perfect for those of you who are looking for a quiet atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In this place you can still hear the wind and the sound of waves. Surrounded by a rainforest that stretches to the sea, this place offers a strong bond with nature.

Tallow Beach

Tallow Beach is a choice for those who want a more relaxed atmosphere than Byron Bay. The coastline stretches as far as Suffolk Park and Broken Head, with the backdrop of the green Arakwal National Park. This place is also a favorite of surfers.

Hellfire Bay

Hidden in Cape Le Grand National Park, Hellfire Bay is arguably a masterpiece of remote beauty. The beach is famous for its snow-white sand and bright blue water that almost looks like a painting. Framed by large granite rocks, this beach offers tranquility for tourists who are willing to explore the southern tip of Western Australia.

Godfreys Beach

Godfreys Beach is located in the historic town of Stanley in the northwest. What makes this beach truly spectacular is the backdrop, 'The Nut', an ancient volcanic plug that towers 143 meters above sea level. This beach is also a prime location to see little penguins at dusk.

Inskip Point

Inskip Point, a sandy peninsula that serves as a natural gateway to K'gari, is a beach playground. Bound by the open ocean on one side and the calm, sheltered waters of the Great Sandy Strait on the other, it's a haven for those who love camping, fishing or 4WD driving.

Mount Martha
