Inara Rusli admits there is a video with Insanul Fahmi but denies committing adultery

JAKARTA - Inara Rusli's party spoke up about the video evidence that became the basis for reporting the case of alleged adultery and infidelity with Insanul Fahmi by Wardatina Mawa.

Inara admitted the existence of the recording, but firmly denied the narrative that developed in the public.

Daru Quthny, Inara's lawyer, explained that his client's confession does not necessarily justify the charge of adultery.

"The video on the other hand was admitted by Inara but the content was not admitted. The content in the sense of whether they committed adultery, whether they committed dukhul like that, it was not done," said Daru at the Polda Metro Jaya, Tuesday, March 17.

Daru added that what was seen in the video could not be categorized as a legally married husband and wife.

"Even if they, for example, we assume they are hugging and so on, it does not mean adultery according to the law that is being investigated by the investigator. He admitted the video but the content inside said they had committed adultery, had penetrated, he did not do that," he added.

In line with Daru, another lawyer, Herlina, revealed technical details regarding the duration of the video which he said was very different from the widely circulated issue.

"The time is not like the one that is spread now, two hours, no. It's only about two minutes or three minutes. And it's a very short time. There are indeed fragments, there are seven fragments," said Herlina.

Herlina said that the video had undergone editing or editing so that it did not display the incident in a complete and objective manner.

"It's already in the material, so I can't tell you. But I think it's clear that there was already a decapitation, edited like that. And it only took about one or two minutes, it's not too long," he said again.

Legally, Herlina believes that the evidence is not strong enough to prove the existence of adultery as stipulated in laws and religious laws.

"If you look at it legally, I think it's not adultery. What is in accordance with the law is that adultery is legally there is penetration or if the Islamic religion is mentioned dukhul," explained Herlina.

According to him, penetration is the main key in proving the crime of adultery, and it can only be proven through expert assessment.

"Inserting between the female genitals and the male genitals. That is the occurrence of penetration and it must be seen clearly... and only experts can talk like that," concluded Herlina.
