Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, the Sejabodetabek Ustazah Community Forum (FOKUS) held a Khatam Al-Qur'an and prayer together at Alhamd Carpet, Radio Dalam, Jakarta, the residence of H. Malik Mahboob Ahmad, Thursday (11/2/2026).
This activity is not just a tradition of welcoming Ramadan. The General Chair of FOKUS, Ustazah Bahijah Hamid, as well as the leader of the Daruttaqwa Ta'lim Assembly emphasized the importance of increasing prayers, especially for the nation and state so that Indonesia can lead to a more just, prosperous, and blessed life.
In the joint prayer, FOKUS specifically prayed for the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, the people of Indonesia, and world peace.
"As citizens, we have a moral and spiritual obligation to pray for the government, the President, the nation, and the country," said Ustazah Bahijah Hamid.
Prayers are also intended for people affected by natural disasters that have occurred in Aceh, North Sumatra (Medan), West Sumatra (Padang), West Java and in many other cities.
"Hopefully our families, our brothers and sisters who are affected by this disaster will be helped by Allah SWT. And what we have done is a good deed that is accepted by Allah SWT," he said in a series of prayers.
* Ramadan, a Mustajab Moment to Pray for the Nation *
On that occasion, H. Malik Mahboob Ahmad also invited scholars, religious leaders, mosque leaders, and taklim assemblies to continue to pray for the President and the leaders of the nation.
"I appeal to all religious leaders, leaders of the taklim council to always pray for our President. Because this is a duty as a citizen to pray for his leadership," said Malik.
Malik highlighted 4 points in this event.
1. Khatmul Qur'an Become a Prayer for the President and the Nation Praying for President Prabowo Subianto (Hafidzahullāh), the Indonesian nation, and world peace. 2. Invite All People to Pray This activity invites all Indonesian people, across regions, tribes, and religions, to pray for leaders and the country according to their respective beliefs. 3. Prayer is considered a moral and spiritual obligation Emphasizing that praying for leaders and the country is a moral and spiritual obligation that has a positive impact on the life of the nation and the state. 4. Call for National Joint Prayer It is proposed to carry out joint prayer, prayer, istighotsah, remembrance, and istighfar in all provinces, both in places of worship, educational institutions, and government and private offices.
"Proposing a spiritual journey of the nation, the idea of a trip to the Holy Land (Mecca and Medina) with the President, government officials, scholars, academics, and the families of former Presidents and Vice Presidents for special prayers for Indonesia and world peace," said Malik.
Ustazah Baijah said reading Surat Al-Baqarah verse 186 which is between the verses about fasting, where during fasting and before breaking the fast, is a mustajab momentum to ask for goodness for oneself, family, nation, and country.
And when your servants ask me, saying, "What is the meaning of this?" then I will tell them, "This is the word of the LORD, which he has said to you - to teach you, and to warn you, and to tell you of your future, and the things that will come on your people, and on your country, and of all your friends, and of the days that are coming. 186 At kung tanungin ako ng iyong mga lingkod, na magsasabi, Ano ang ibig sabihin ng haring ito sa inyo? ay gayon ang sasabihin ko sa kanila, Sapagka't ipinagutos ng Panginoon ang kaniyang mga salita sa inyo, upang turuan kayo na inyong paglingkuran ang hari sa Babilonia, at upang kayo'y mangatira sa lupain.

"And when My servants ask you (Muhammad) about Me, then surely I am near. I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on Me. Let them also fulfill My commands and let them believe in Me, so that they may be led aright." In addition, pray by reading Surat An-Naml verse 62 which emphasizes that only Allah SWT grants prayers in difficulty:
"Who answers a call when he is called, and who removes the evil, and makes you successors on the earth? Is there a god besides Allah? Little do you remember." "Siapa yang menjawab panggilan ketika ia dipanggil, dan siapa yang menghilangkan kejahatan, dan membuat Anda penerus di bumi? Apakah ada tuhan selain Allah? Sedikit yang Anda ingat."
Latin: Am may yujîbul-mudltharra idzâ da‘âhu wa yaksyifus-sû'a wa yaj‘alukum khulafâ'al-ardl, a ilâhum ma‘allâh, qalîlam mâ tadzakkarûn.
"Is that (which you associate with Him) better or the One Who answers (the prayer) of a suppliant when he calls on Him, removes distress, and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there a god besides Allah? Little do you remember."
Through this Khataman and joint prayer, FOKUS hopes that Ramadan will be a momentum for collective improvement. Not only personal worship, but also prayers for the progress of Indonesia, the welfare of the people, and world peace.
