Adly Fairuz Refuses to Respond to the Complaint Regarding the Promise to Pass the Akpol Exam

JAKARTA - Actor Adly Fairuz is now facing legal problems. The star of the soap opera Cinta Fitri was sued in a civil case for alleged failure to fulfill a promise to graduate from the Police Academy (Akpol).

In response to this, Adly Fairuz's lawyer, Andy Gultom, spoke up. He emphasized that his client was not involved in the technical or administrative affairs of the registration. According to him, Adly was only a "victim" of the good intentions of helping friends.

"Adly is only someone who introduces, does not interfere in this management business, what management is being said," said Andy Gultom when met at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, February 5.

From a legal perspective, Andy considers the lawsuit filed against his client to be strange. The reason is that the promised object - namely the graduation of Akpol - is not something that is under the control or authority of Adly Fairuz.

"Our client is not someone who has authority in what is promised. So there is no legal standing in the object of the promise between the plaintiff and the defendant," he explained again.

Although he felt innocent and only acted as a liaison, Adly Fairuz was claimed to have shown good faith to resolve this issue in a family way.

The Adly party said it had returned all the money it had ever received as a marketing fee. In fact, the amount returned was much larger than the initial nominal received by Adly.

"Adly has returned everything to the plaintiff. He only received Rp. 300 million, but was returned Rp. 505 million. So it was over Rp. 205 million so that this problem was resolved," said Andy.

Currently, the trial process at the South Jakarta District Court is still rolling with the agenda of examining the legality of the parties. On the other hand, Adly Fairuz is rumored to still carry out his activities as usual and chooses to focus on worship in the midst of the ongoing legal process.
