Teuku Rassya: As Much As His Ability Not Wanting to Follow the Trend of Luxury Souvenirs at His Wedding

JAKARTA - The marriage of public figures in Indonesia is often synonymous with luxury that is the focus of attention, not least the matter of souvenirs for invited guests.

Seeing the trend of artist souvenirs that are often fantastically valuable, actor Teuku Rassya finally spoke up about his own preparations.

The son of Tamara Bleszynski emphasized that his main focus in preparing souvenirs was not for a show or to follow certain standards of luxury.

For him, souvenirs are a sincere form of appreciation to guests who have taken the time.

"I definitely appreciate whoever comes like that, who takes the time to come," said Teuku Rassya in Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 13.

Rassya explained that she preferred to give something that was in line with her ability rather than having to force herself for the judgment of others. She wants all the preparations for her wedding to go honestly and as it is.

"And as much as possible I will definitely give what I can, not to show off or anything, but yes, according to what it is ... yes, it's just my ability," he continued.

Although many of his fellow artists gave him luxurious souvenirs such as jewelry to branded electronic goods, Rassya admitted that he did not feel burdened.

For him, everyone has their own way of welcoming guests. When asked if he felt pressured by public expectations or the standard of celebrity weddings in general, Rassya answered casually.

"Pressure? No," he said briefly.
