Crowd phobia, Brian's love chooses to enjoy New Year's fireworks via video call

JAKARTA - At a time when many people celebrate New Year's Eve with a festive party outside the house, actor Cinta Brian has a very different way. He admitted that he preferred to celebrate it at home because he couldn't stand the crowd.

"New Year's is honest, yes, it's the thing I rarely ask to get out of the house. I can't be crowded," he said in South Jakarta, not long ago.

Although his job requires him to meet a lot of people, he admits that he feels very stressed when he is in the middle of a crowded crowd.

"If it's crowded, it's really stressful for me," he admitted.

In fact, he can suddenly be stuck and confused about what to do when he is in a too crowded situation. For him, New Year's Eve should be a comfortable moment.

The tradition that he always does with his brothers, Junior and William, is to have a barbecue party in the backyard.

"That's the tradition we do, cook in the backyard. That's always," he said.

However, that doesn't mean he doesn't want to enjoy the excitement of fireworks. Brian's love has a very unique way to be able to "be present" in the middle of the celebration without having to jostle.

He and his siblings will watch the fireworks live from various countries via YouTube. A more personal way is to make a video call.

"There was a friend who was staying at one of the hotels at that time... Video call with us. So we just see the fireworks from people's video calls," he recalled with a laugh.

He admitted that he really wanted to witness the excitement in the city center directly, but until now he hasn't had the courage.

"Last year we were almost leaving, but in the end we decided to stay at home," he said.
