Sad News: Raisa's Mother Passed Away

JAKARTA - Sad news has arrived from Raisa's family. Her mother, Ria Mariaty, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, as shared by Raisa's brother, Rinaldi Nurpratama.

"With deep sorrow, we would like to convey that the late Ria Mariaty, daughter of Rachmat Ardiwinangoen, passed away today at 7:19 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) at Dharmais Hospital," Rinaldi Nur Pratama wrote in his Instagram post.

"We ask for prayers from her family, friends, relatives, and all who knew her, that Allah SWT accepts her good deeds.

Forgive all her sins and mistakes, widen her grave, and grant her a place in the best place by His side," he continued.

The body will be laid out at the funeral home in the Cinere area of ​​Depok.

Ria Mariaty was previously diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment for the past few years, as Rinaldi shared on his social media.

Rinaldi shared his mother's improving condition after undergoing chemotherapy last September, which revealed that the cancer cells were no longer active.

"Since her last chemotherapy session on April 29, 2025, there has been a lot of progress, Mom. She was followed by 11 rounds of immunotherapy. On September 11, Mom underwent a PET scan. Thank God, the results were very positive. Much of the cancer is no longer active, only a small amount is still alive," wrote Rinaldi Nurpratama.

Furthermore, Raisa, who won Best Female Solo Artist at the 2025 AMI Awards, gave a speech dedicated to her mother, who is battling cancer.

"I also want to give a special shoutout to Vidi, my mother, and all the cancer fighters out there. To the medical staff, keep up the good work. Hopefully, we can beat this disease. Amen," Raisa said on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
