Faradina Mufti And Rio Dewanto Undergo Bed Scenes With Intimacy Coordinator

JAKARTA The intimate scene in the world of Indonesian cinema is now entering a new chapter that is more professional and safe. This is evident in the production of the film Legend of Slam Malin Kundang, starring Rio Dewanto and Faradina Mufti.

The two, who act as husband and wife, undergo bed scenes with the help of professional workers called intimate coordinators.

Rio Dewanto explained that the presence of the intimacy coordinator is a new development in the country's film industry. These professionals are tasked with ensuring that every intimate scene is carried out safely, comfortably, and in accordance with the limits of the actors.

"So, in Indonesia now there is a new type of work called the intimate coordinator and only a few people have certification," said Rio Dewanto in the South Jakarta area, Monday, November 17.

According to Rio, two intimate coordinators were directly involved in the cultivation of Malin Kundant's Dark Legend. They not only assist, but also design special choreography for scenes involving physical touch and intimacy.

"All the scenes that involve players to do intimate things do have a choreography," he added.

This process started long before the camera started recording. The actors and actresses involved were asked to fill out an approval form. The form contains detailed questions about their personal limitations regarding intimate scenes.

"So before we do that, we look like filling out a form first, what the boundaries are and at the location we are also guarded by them," explained Rio.

"What can be done, what is okay, and then for the sake of what the scene looks like. So I think it is very important to be treated to the films," he continued.

Faradina Mufti, who plays Nadine, the wife of the character Alif, played by Rio, also felt the positive impact of the presence of this professional. The 35-year-old actress felt safer and protected during the shooting process.

"So what is already on the screen are the boundaries that we have agreed to each other, not only between us but also based on the same production," said Faradina. So that really makes the players and production feel safe too," he concluded.

The thriller genre film is scheduled to greet audiences in cinemas throughout Indonesia from 27 November 2025. Apart from Rio Dewanto and Faradina Mufti, this film will also be enlivened by performances from Vonny Anggraini to Nova Eliza.
