JAKARTA - The drama production team The Remarried Empress released an apology even though the drama has not yet aired. This statement was released regarding the premiere released on Disney Showcase.

This week, Disney+ released the premiere of the drama The Remarried Empress which is an adaptation of the webnovel of the same name. This drama is played by Ju Ji Hoon, Shin Min Ah, Lee Jong Suk, and Lee Se Young.

One of the screened appearances was Ju Ji Hoon who played the role of Sovieshu and wore a prince costume.

This appearance drew criticism from the audience where the medal seen in the photo is similar to that of the Nazi medal. Studio N as the production team made a statement.

"We sincerely apologize for causing discomfort in reviewing the property in question," said the production team.

"We are very aware of the seriousness of this issue and we will change problematic photos and make an understanding to avoid things like this going forward," he said.

Since this controversy, Disney+ has removed photos from all social media accounts. In addition, the production team is also discussing whether they should re-shoot all scenes or have to delete the missile in question.

The Remarried Empress is also planned to air in 2026.
