JAKARTA — South Korean director Lee Chang-hee, known for the series "Strangers From Hell" and the film "A Killer Paradox," praised Reza Rahadian and Rio Dewanto after collaborating on the new film, "Keadilan: The Verdict," which he directed with Indonesian director Yusron Fuadi.

Lee Chang-hee, who attended the film screening, revealed that Reza and Rio have different charms but are equally strong in developing their characters.

"Regarding my impressions of working with Reza Rahadian and Rio Dewanto, these two actors have very different charms," ​​said Lee Chang-hee in South Jakarta on Wednesday, November 12.

"From their outward appearances to their in-depth acting, they demonstrate extraordinary abilities that can be understood even without speaking the same language," he continued.

The director, who has worked with renowned Korean actors, even believes that Reza and Rio have great potential to penetrate the international film industry, including South Korean films.

"They both have a very strong appeal. I'm sure they'll be well-received in the Korean market. I have that confidence," said Lee.

Lee Chang-hee also expressed his hope that collaboration between the Indonesian and South Korean film industries could continue in the future.

"I hope to collaborate more in the future," he added.

On that occasion, Lee Chang-hee also revealed his significant role in the production process of Keadilan: The Verdict. He said he was involved in almost every stage of production, from script adaptation to the final editing process.

"First, I worked on the screenplay adaptation, directed on location, and created continuity storyboards. I didn't shoot 100 percent of the film, but most of it—around 80–90 percent of the final product—was my footage. The remaining 10 percent was done by the Indonesian director," Lee explained.

"Post-production work, such as visual effects (CG), editing, and all the music, was done in Korea," he concluded.
