Many Discussed, Bunga Zainal Teaches Children To Self-Defense By Reply To Bully's Actions

JAKARTA - Actress Bunga Zainal shares a principle of parenting that triggers broad discussions among netizens. Through a video of an outpouring of the heart, she openly admits that she teaches her children to "retaliate" if they become victims of bullying or are molested by friends, with one main condition: don't start first.

"Our child is beaten by people, bales. If our child is colonized by people, it's bales. If our child is bullied by people, it's fake. But with a note, don't let our child start first," said Bunga Zainal, quoted by VOI from the TikTok account @bunga23zainal, Wednesday, November 5.

He then told a specific incident that happened to his son. After playing football, his son's pants were suddenly dropped by a friend in the middle of the field. Luckily, the child wore tight sports boxer pants so that they were not fully exposed.

Arriving home, the child told the incident and asked permission to reply. "He told me and asked, 'Mami, can I reply?' I answered, 'Bales'," said Bunga.

The next day, his son actually replied to his friend's actions by doing the same thing. Long story short, this incident reached the ears of the teacher and her child, who was called for clarification. The child defends himself honestly that his friend started first and he only follows what his mother taught him.

"My son answered, 'But my mom said, I have to reply'," said Bunga, imitating his son's words to the teacher.

This continued with a phone call from the teacher to Bunga to confirm his teachings. Without hesitation, Bunga confirmed it.

"And I immediately answered, 'Yes, I ordered it'," he said.

Bunga Zainal provides a strong justification behind the principles. According to him, this action is a form of briefing so that his son can protect himself (self-protect), especially because he as a parent or school party cannot supervise for a full 24 hours.

"For me, it is a briefing for my son when there are people who are bad or bully him. Moreover, now there are so many children who carry out bullying, physical violence, and others," he explained.

At the end of the video, Bunga Zainal openly asked other mothers questions, as if opening up a discussion room about her brave and unconventional parenting method.

"Well, according to you, ladies, what I did or what I taught my child was wrong or right?" he concluded.
