JAKARTA - Actor Jonathan Frizzy (Ijonk) faces a new chapter in his legal case after the public prosecutor filed a demands for one year in prison. This demand is based on articles on health related to vape ownership that contain ethodite substances.
Ijonk's legal team, Lamgok Heryanto Silalahi, revealed that the charges were quite surprising for them and their clients.
"Earlier we heard each other, until we came to the demands, yes. Earlier Ijonk was charged with 1 year and subject to Article 435 for health," said Lamgok after the trial at the Tangerang District Court, Wednesday, September 24.
Ijonk's reaction in the courtroom did not escape the attention. According to his lawyer, Ijonk's body gesture showed that he did not expect the demands to last that long, especially considering his role which was considered only to participate.
"But we have seen the same gesture, we are also an advisor to legal expectations, not so far because that is ignorance," added Lamgok.
"Earlier, the demands were conveyed that Ijonk participated, yes, that's it," he continued.

Facing the demands of one year in prison, Jonathan Frizzy's (Ijonk) legal team is currently preparing a memorandum of defense or plea. The main point they will lift is the fact that Ijonk is not at all aware of the content of the etomade substance in the vape he has.
One of the lawyers, who is familiarly called Ida Bagus Ivan, emphasized that this ignorance factor is very crucial.
"Maybe the main point is related to Ijonk's own knowledge of the ethical content, which during this trial, the fact was conveyed that Ijonk did not know that there was an ethomide in it," he explained.
According to him, ethical substances which are hard drugs are invisible like other types of narcotics, so it is natural that Ijonk does not realize them. He hopes that this fact will be the main consideration for the panel of judges.
"If you don't know, we ask for relief from the panel of judges to give the lightest verdict, which is definitely lighter, we hope from the prosecutor's demands," he concluded.
In addition to the defense of the legal team, Ijonk will also submit his personal pledoi at the next trial.
