SM Entertainment And EXO CBX's First Mediation Failed, Didn't Comeback?

JAKARTA - The feud between three EXO members: Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin and SM Entertainment is entering its first stage. The mediation, which was carried out on Tuesday, September 23, was declared a failure.

SM and Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin attended the mediation agenda at the Seoul District Court to hear statements from both parties. Launching Newsen, the first mediation was declared a failure.

The 30-minute mediation did not produce a satisfactory conclusion for both parties.

Therefore, the second mediation is scheduled for October 2 which will be attended by SM Entertainment and EXO CBX.

Their feud is related to a 600 million Won lawsuit filed by SM Entertainment in June 2023. They sued because the exclusive contracts of the three members with the company were still valid.

EXO CBX responded by stating that SM failed to provide evidence of transparency of total album and digital sales of 5.5% and individual income of 10%.

This mediation was carried out amid news of EXO planning the release of the album, especially after their youngest member, Sehun completed their military service duties.

Last week, EXO's social media account released a photo that referenced their debut, MAMA with graphics posters. Even so, they haven't announced exactly when EXO will release the latest season's work.
