Humble At The Peak Of A Career, Yovie Widianto: My Song Is Nothing Without A Great Singer

JAKARTA - Andi Rianto specifically held a concert to celebrate 5 billion streams of Yovie Widianto's songs in a performance titled the Cinta Billions Concert Yovie Widianto - Andi Rianto Berkonser which was successfully held at the Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan.

In the middle of a concert to appreciate his legendary works, music maestro Yovie Widianto actually showed extraordinary humility.

He emphasized that the success of his songs was not the result of his own work, but the fruit of collaboration with the great musicians and singers who had brought his creation.

On one occasion, Yovie publicly dismissed the notion that he was the only key behind a hit song.

"I know it's not because I'm the one who's great at the song alone, but because there are great musicians who always help here," said Yovie Widianto in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Sunday, September 21.

He even reversed the general view of the role of a composer, stating that the singer has a very big role in making a song widely known.

"As a composer, I can never be as selfish as I said, 'If I wasn't there, he wouldn't stop.' It could be my song if it wasn't sung well by good singer friends, my song wasn't heard," he said.

For him, beauty in music is created by cooperation. "So, all of that, everything is beautiful because of collaboration," concluded Yovie.

This concert itself was enlivened by the performances of Monita Tahalea, Isyana Sarasvati, Bilal Indrajaya, Lyodra, Tiara Andini, Ziva Magnolya to Rony Parulian who performed the hits of Yovie Widianto.
