Sofia Vergara Has Been Canceled As The Reader Of The 2025 Emmy Nominations Due To Eye Infections

JAKARTA - Sofia Vergara canceled attending the Emmy 2025 awards because of the conditions that occurred a few hours before she left. The 53-year-old actress admitted that she had an infection in the eye, before leaving the door where she lived.

"You can't go to Emmy but go to the Emergency Room," wrote Sofia Vergara.

The Modern Family star uploaded several photos showing her swollen left eye in the eye area.

"Sorry I couldn't come! Crazy eyes (because of allergies) before getting into the car," he said.

Vergara also shared a portrait of himself on the hospital bed. Another video shows the actress washing her eyes with water in the hospital.

Sofia Vergara was originally scheduled to be one of the readers of the nominations with several names announced on September 9, including Elizabeth Banks, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Jennifer Coolidge, Colman Domingo, Tina Fey, and others.

She is one of the actresses who regularly attends Emmy events after playing the iconic Modern Family series.

However, Vergara is not the only one who could not attend. Actor Eric Dane also canceled his attendance after being diagnosed with ALS (Lateral Syclerosis Amiotrophic) or disorders in the spinal cord.
