Nikita Mirzani Denied Mail's Testimony Regarding Commission Rp30 Million From Reza Gladys's Money

JAKARTA - The atmosphere of the trial of the case involving actress Nikita Mirzani at the South Jakarta District Court was filled with tensions when her assistant, Ismail Marzuki alias Mail, changed her testimony before the panel of judges.

This change occurred after Nikita Mirzani corrected Mail's statement regarding the source of money worth Rp. 30 million. The moment began when the presiding judge asked for Nikita Mirzani's response to the testimony given by Ismail Marzuki.

"Is the defendant's sister whether the testimony from the witness' brother (Ismail Marzuki) is all right or something is wrong," said the presiding judge in the trial Thursday, August 21.

"There is Your Majesty," answered Nikita Mirzani.

When asked further, Nikita immediately highlighted the information regarding the Rp30 million money which she thought was wrong. He emphasized that the money did not come from transactions with Reza Gladys.

"Which one?" asked the judge.

"What is related to the Rp30 million in dollars is not from Rp2 billion Reza Gladys," continued Nikita Mirzani.

Hearing the correction, the presiding judge immediately turned his attention to Ismail Marzuki in a firm tone. The judge urged Mail to immediately provide certainty about his testimony.

"Witness, please look at me! Are you a witness still in his statement or change?" asked the judge in a firm tone.

"You don't have to think, just answer, stick to the initial information or change?" said the judge.

Under the pressure of the judge's question, Mail finally changed his statement.

"Change Your Majesty," replied Mail.

"Why change?" asked the judge again.

"Because the Rp30 million was in the form of His Majesty's dollar, so I forgot," said Mail.

The judge then confirmed the change in testimony, that Rp30 million was indeed given, but in the form of a dollar currency.

"This means that the statement is still given Rp. 30 million, but the statement is added, the money is in the form of dollars," said the Judge.

"Yes, Your Majesty," he said.

After the trial, Nikita Mirzani again gave an explanation to the media crew to clarify the situation. He emphasized that the money was his personal money, not part of the money he received from Reza Gladys.

"Yes, because Mail forgot that at that time Niki initially gave Rp. 30 million but in the form of dollars but not from the Rp2 billion cash (from Reza Gladys), no," said Nikita Mirzani after the trial.
