Ivan Gunawan Tells Challenges When Hajj: Praying, Suddenly Highlighted Camera

JAKARTA - Celebrity Ivan Gunawan has returned to the country after undergoing the pilgrimage some time ago. After this return, Ivan also told the wrong moment of his spiritual journey that was not entirely fun.

Not without reason, Ivan said, during the pilgrimage, many pilgrims often take photos of themselves even while praying.

"(Hajj) I'm grateful for it, but there is a chest gluing. Sometimes, try you again in the prayer position, so you're praying again, you can do this, the camera is here (in front of your face). This is a temptation, this is a temptation," said Ivan Gunawan, quoted by VOI from TikTok @ early morning byarttv, Tuesday, June 17.

At that moment, Ivan Gunawan admitted that he could not do anything because he remembered that he was carrying out worship.

"But what do you want? You can't do anything. Because people want the photo, they only want at least a second," said Ivan Gunawan.

Ivan also understands that people who want to take photos with themselves may not necessarily be asked to be patient waiting for themselves to worship first.

"No one wants to take the photo to be patient, I've never been an artist, 43 years old, people want to take photos and are told to be patient, nothing," he said.

"People in Mustajab, in Kabbah, people are tawaf, if possible, the cellphone goes into my stomach, they don't want people to be patient," explained Ivan.

To overcome this, Ivan asked for help from the people in his entourage to help take care of himself during worship from people who wanted to ask for photos.

"Moreover, I mean I told my entourage, I said, 'oh, if for example someone asks for a photo, you talk about it, don't come out of my mouth'," he continued.

"Yes, maybe my body can't be covered, right, wearing a mask is closed," said Ivan.

Even so, Ivan Gunawan was reluctant to take the incident to heart because he understood the wishes of other congregants who wanted to take pictures with him.

"But it's okay, just run it. Because people come back again asking for a photo of at most a second," he concluded.
