JAKARTA - Tom Cruise confirmed he was working on the continuation of two of his films, Top Gun: Maverick and Days of Thunder. He revealed the news amid promoting his latest film, Mission Impossible: Finaleckoning.

"We're thinking and talking a lot of different stories and what we can do," Tom Cruise told Today.

Top Gun: Maverick is a sequel to the film Top Gun and will air in 2022. The movie Days of Thunder that he is working on is also an original film that airs in 1990.

"It took 35 years to find Top Gun: Maverick, so everything we're working on right now. We discussed Days of Thunder and Top Gun: Maverick," said Tom Cruise.

Furthermore, he also revealed that he was working on a film with Christopher McQuarrie in an undisclosed title.
