Paula Verhoeven Report Baim Wong To Komnas Perempuan On Alleged Domestic Violence

JAKARTA Paula Verhoeven officially reported the alleged domestic violence (KDRT) allegedly committed by her husband, Baim Wong, to Komnas Perempuan.

In her official statement, Paula's attorney, Siti Aminah, said that the report includes allegations of violence in various forms, including physical, psychological, sexual, and economic.

"We submitted two reports. One report of alleged domestic violence allegedly committed by Baim's husband or currently. Then a complaint related to the statement of a discriminatory public official," said Siti Aminah at the Komnas Perempuan Office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, April 30.

The report has been received directly by Komnas Perempuan, represented by three commissioners. The complaint filed shows that gender-based violence is at the heart of Paula's report.

"Komnas Perempuan, represented by the three commissioners, has received complaints of gender-based violence in the form of physical violence, psychological violence, sexual violence and economic violence experienced by Mrs. Paula as a wife," continued Siti.

On that occasion, Paula's side also submitted important evidence supporting reports, including CCTV footage showing acts of physical violence.

"In this case, we have also submitted evidence in the form of CCTV and information from digital forensic experts who assess CCTV footage showing the physical violence experienced by Mrs. Paula," he said.

Not only about physical violence, but reports also highlight the form of economic violence experienced by Paula during marriage.

"Then we also convey that for the form of economic violence in the properties of women's human rights, it can be categorized as a form of economic control and economic exploitation," concluded Siti Aminah.
