Fahad Haydra Down 5 Kg For The Role Of Anies Baswedan In The Film Senyum Manies Love Story

JAKARTA - The production house of Berkah Menara Sinema and Bennatin Cipta Surya has released their latest film posters and trailers, Senyum Manies Love Story taken from the love journey of Anies Baswedan and Fery Farhati Ganis.

Fahad Haydra was chosen to play the character Anies Baswedan. On one occasion, Fahad said about physical changes to his appearance in order to look similar to the figure of Anies Baswedan.

Starting from hairstyle, Fahad had the opportunity to meet Anies Baswedan in person and see the hairstyle of the former Governor of DKI Jakarta when he was young.

"For physical changes, for his own hairstyle, when he visited Pak Anies' house, he was also given a look at Pak Anies' life as a young man and there was documentation of him as a young man," said Fahad Haydra in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 21.

"So there I saw a photo of him during the oration, or during activities on campus and from the hairstyle and clothes it was all depicted there," he continued.

In addition, Fahad added that he had to lose up to 5 kilograms of weight for his role.

"And for the rest physically, I had time to lose weight too, because his photo when he was studying was also quite thin and his hair was a bit like in the film, so there was quite a challenge to follow Pak Anies physically when he was young," explained Fahad Haydra.

"I had dropped 5 kilograms, approximately 5 kilos. Honestly, I got up and down quite easily, for example, to lose weight, it looks fast," said Fahad Haydra.

Apart from Fahad Haydra, the film Senyum Manies Love Story also stars Kathy Indera and Chelsea Sepyani and is planned to air on June 12.
