Trial To Prevent Individual Activities, ADOR Takes Legal Action To Protect NewJeans

JAKARTA - HYBE's ADOR label reveals legal action against those who try to interfere with NewJeans. This statement was released amid their conflict against NewJeans members and prevented them from carrying out individual activities outside of contracts with labels.

"Recently, with a drastic increase in both posts aimed at artists, we recruited additional personnel and strengthened our response system," ADOR said on Wednesday, April 9.

"We are actively gathering evidence of rights violations on various platforms and social media such as DC Inside, Ilgan Best, Nate Pann, FM Korea, Naver, Blind, DogDrip, TheQoo, Ppomppu, X, YouTube, and others," he said.

The violations referred to are related to the nationalism of artists, the spread of fake news, violations of privacy and the use of negative words.

In particular, for repeated or severely determined malicious posts as criminal acts, we took strong action including complaints. We have filed a complaint with the Yongsan Police and are planning to file the necessary complaints," ADOR said.

Furthermore, we respond firmly to deepfake crimes that are important social issues. We work with the authorities regarding the production and distribution of video material targeting artists. In fact, the alleged perpetrator has been arrested," he continued.

They also asked the public to report if they saw any negative post targeting NewJeans through their site.

On the same day, trials related to ADOR and NJZ were held to follow up on ADOR's request that NewJeans members not be able to carry out independent activities under the name of the NJZ group.

The Seoul central court held a NewJeans appeal hearing which was held behind closed doors and was only attended by legal representatives of both parties.

The court will announce a final decision at the next trial.
