JAKARTA Minister of Culture Fadli Zon appreciates the screening of the documentary No Other Land as a tangible manifestation of the struggle for Palestine through art and culture. This Oscar-winning film is considered capable of exciting the world's public conscience towards Israel's atrocities in Gaza.
The screening of this film was held at the Press Conference and Watching Together (Nobar) at CGV FX Plaza, Senayan, Wednesday (26/3). This activity is an initiative of the Palestinian Care Artist Forum initiated by Dr. Erick Yusuf S.Sy., M.Pd, to unite the voices and steps of Indonesian artists in defending Palestine.
This forum is here to encourage collective movements, especially among artists, so that their struggle is not individual. By prioritizing Palestinian-themed media literacy and artwork, this movement wants to be more focused and have a real impact.
This film is a strong collaboration. It shows the world how Israel has taken brutal and beyond humanitarian action against the legitimate Palestinian people of its own land," said Culture Minister Fadli Zon, who also serves as Vice President of the World Parliament League for Palestine in a written statement received Thursday, March 27.

Furthermore, Fadli Zon emphasized that Indonesia's stance remains consistent in supporting Palestinian independence. President Prabowo said that we support the Palestinian struggle based on international law. The Indonesian people, parliament, and civil elements are in the same ranks," he stressed.
He considered the film No Other Land as a complete cultural expression. Film is the most effective platform to convey messages. In it there is music, acting, sound, history, and emotion. Everything blends together to provide correct awareness and information," he said.
Fadli Zon also hopes that in the future there will be a similar documentary that raises Indonesia's contribution, such as the construction of an Indonesian Hospital in Gaza which had gone viral in the international world a decade ago.
"I appreciate the struggle through art and culture as shown by the Palestinian Care Artist Forum today," he concluded.
The event was also attended by a number of art figures such as Armand Maulana, Dwiki Dharmawan, Asma Nadia, Helvy Tiana Rosa, Arie Untung, and Deddy Mizwar. They fully support this movement and invite more artists to join.
