Family Cancels Wheesung Cemetery, Choose Closed Cremation

Singer Wheesung, who is scheduled to hold a funeral, has now been canceled. The family canceled the plan so that they chose a closed cremation.

Wheesung was found dead in his apartment in Seoul on March 10. The emergency room had received a call from the family.

He is suspected of having cardiac arrest in the middle of his usual activities. The 43-year-old singer was later declared dead.

Initially, the family wanted to hold a funeral the next day, but they canceled the plan and Wheesung's body was autopsied on Wednesday, March 12 to determine the true cause of death.

On the same day, Tajoy Entertainment as Wheesung's agency said the family was too shocked by this sad news.

"Due to the great shock from the grief experienced by the family, they did not continue the funeral process at this time," said Tajoy Entertainment.

"The necessary procedures will be carried out after the family is emotionally ready," he said.

The world of music felt sorrow considering that Wheesung was a singer and composer who was popular in the 2000s era.

Recently, Solar from the MAMAMOO group wrote a thank you note that Wheesung helped MAMAMOO before they debuted.

Thank you for making great songs and singing with us before MAMAMOO debuted when we didn't know anything. I won't forget your music. May you rest in peace," wrote Solar.
