The Reason Epy Kusnandar Was Vakum Acting After Being Entangled In A Drug Case

Karina Ranau explained the reason her husband, Epy Kusnandar, had been on hiatus from acting after being released from rehabilitation of suspected drug abuse cases some time ago.

He said that Epy wanted to try to create a new image of the soap opera character he had played before.

"Indeed, he really wants, we don't mean to offend certain parties, yes, he wants to move on from what people really know, just 'kang, kang kang', I want to be Epy Kusnandar, want a new image," said Karina Ranau in Kalibata, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 6.

Not without reason, Karina said that her husband had experienced an unpleasant incident where he was better known as a character than himself.

"That's no one anymore, it's in Bandung, I want to be Epy Kusnandar, but how, because it's not calm, where are we going, we want quality time too, we can't, we can't call it the name of the role," explained Karina.

Therefore, Epy takes more jobs from films because it allows him to play various characters.

"So he said, 'yes, I'm still being challenged to play movies, because various kinds of characters are challenging'. So he's still organizing it and being challenged in the world of film and thank God it's running again," he continued.

"He likes it uncomfortable, but that (the role in soap operas) is pride, it's legend, but sometimes there are times when he's tired too," he said.
