Kiesha Alvaro Interested In Playing Homosexual Characters, Had Discussed With Family

JAKARTA - Kiesha Alvaro revealed that he had received an offer to play a character that was rarely raised in the Indonesian film industry.

The offer came from one of the OTT platforms with a fairly large fee.

"Yes, he is in contact, 'Can Kiesha play in a series in this OTT, with a big nominal' and the nominal amount is also a very difficult role, I just can't mention it here because it will be controversial," said Kiesha Alvaro in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Tuesday, February 25.

"Anyway, this role has never been, it's rare for a film to want to bring this role to Indonesia," he continued.

Kiesha openly admits that the role offered to her is homosexual.

"Yes, if I may say, you can offer a role as a homosexual," he said.

He realized that this role would generate controversy, but that's exactly what made him interested in taking the challenge.

"Yes, it will be controversial, that's why I want to take it. It's difficult, it's really difficult, right," he said.

As a young actor who is still starting his career, Kiesha wants to try various roles that can develop his abilities in acting.

"But as a person who is starting, I'm still learning and I want to try something like that, I want to get out of my comfort zone," he continued.

Even so, before making a decision, he still discussed his mother, Okie Agustina, about his wish.

Kiesha said that Okie asked him to be more careful in choosing roles because it could have an impact on his father, Pasha 'Ungu'.

"Oh sharing, definitely sharing. And you said when it comes to the role, I'm afraid that the father will be the one who gets it later, because it will be dangerous," he said.
