JAKARTA - Yoo Ah In will be released from his sentence after being sentenced to one year in prison for a drug case he was serving.

Tuesday, February 18, the Seoul High Court's 5th Criminal Division canceled the initial verdict, which stated that Yoo Ah In was sentenced to one year in prison.

Instead, they sentenced them to one year in prison with a suspension period of two years. They said this decision was related to Yoo Ah In's condition and so on.

"Considering the motives, methods, and consequences of the blasphemy as well as circumstances after the violation, the sentences imposed in the first trial were severe and unfair," the court said.

Yoo Ah In was charged with one year in prison in October 2024. He is said to have consumed Propofol as a sedative and the need for cosmetics as many as 181 times in hospitals throughout Seoul from September 2020 to March 2022.

During the urine examination, the actor tested positive for cocaine and ketaminas. He was also reported for a case of sexual harassment by a man.

Then the harassment case was closed due to a lack of sufficient evidence to fulfill the investigation process.

In the middle of the ongoing case, Yoo Ah In's father died on August 7, 2024 and was buried in Seoul. The father died of illness and Yoo Ah In was given permission to be at the funeral home.
