Police Regarding The Cause Of Kim Sae Ron: He Made Extreme Choices

JAKARTA - The Seoul Metropolitan Police made the latest statement from the investigation into the death of actress Kim Sae Ron. They stated that the investigation was still ongoing so they could not provide specific statements.

"We consider the Kim (Sae Ron) case an extreme choice and we will handle it as a case of death," the police said, citing Sports Chosun on Monday, February 17.

"No will or last letter was found (at home)," he said.

According to the Seongdong police statement, Kim Sae Ron was found dead at his home in the Seongdong area at 16.45 South Korean time.

The first person to find his body was a friend who had an appointment with Kim Sae Ron. The friend went to his house, found Kim Sae Ron and immediately contacted the police.

Until now, there have been no signs of interference or crime at the scene, the authorities said.

They also could not reveal the plan whether Kim Sae Ron's body would be autopsied because it was in accordance with the request of the bereaved family.

The ceremony has been held starting Monday, February 17th, where actors and colleagues visited the funeral home, one of which was actor Won Bin.

Kim Sae Ron's funeral is scheduled to be held on February 19, 2025 at Asan Medical Center, Seoul. It is not yet known whether the funeral will be held for the public or closed.

Kim Sae Ron died at the age of 24.
