Free Health Checks For People Who Repeatedly, Deputy Minister Isyana: Preventing Better Than Treating

JAKARTA, the Ministry of Population and Family Development/BKKBN Deputy Minister of Population and Family Development (Kemenduk bangga)/Deputy Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka, S.Sos, together with the Deputy Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Veronica Tan, saw firsthand the start of the Free Health Check Program (CKG) at the Kebayoran Baru District Health Center, South Jakarta on Monday (10/02/2025).

This CKG program is the mandate of the 1945 Constitution, that every citizen has the right to receive health services and this is also the realization of President Prabowo's campaign promise which was pronounced on November 8, 2023, that health services must be provided free of charge, aka free of charge, with a target of around 10 thousand health centers and 15 thousand clinics throughout Indonesia aimed at 100% of Indonesians ranging from infants to the elderly, people with disabilities, farmers, laborers, fishermen and ASN services, etc. are entitled to CKG services without exception.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Isyana said that CKG is intended for all Indonesian people with a target beneficiary of 281 million Indonesian citizens (WNI).

"So the nature of this CKG program is how all Indonesian citizens start from infants, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Everyone is not left behind to get this program," he said.

Kementerian kami akan terus berkolaborasi dengan Kementerian Kesehatan, Kementerian PPPA, dan pihak-pihak terkait untuk menyekseskan program-program yang menjadi visi misi dari Presiden Prabowo Subianto, kata Isyana.

"One of our duties from the Ministry of Education and Culture/BKKBN is to provide education and community movements to participate in this CKG program. The task of the Ministry of Institutions is indeed to carry out socialization and mobilization," he added.

It is known that CKG activities at the New Foundation Health Center today serve 23 participants registered out of a total daily quota of 30 people. The participants are people who have their birthdays in January and February.

"The goal (CGK) is for the public to no longer focus on treatment, but rather on preventive efforts (prevention). This is what we will do, because one of President Prabowo Subianto's aspirations is superior and healthy human resources, therefore we ensure that prevention is better than cure. CKG will be carried out routinely every year as a gift for people who have birthdays," he said.

Deputy Minister Isyana also expressed her hope, "Hopefully the results are good, because we want to make sure that more Indonesians live in health and if there are diseases, they can be detected from an early age, so that treatment can be carried out more quickly and more precisely," he concluded.

CKG information

This CKG is carried out at the Puskesmas on its birthday until one month later, starting in February 2025 targeting children aged 0 6 years and all those aged 18 years and over, for those who have their birthdays between January-March 2025, examinations can be carried out until April 30, 2025.

Meanwhile, CKG schools began to be held around June/July 2025, targeting children aged 7'17 years, and held simultaneously in schools every new school year.

CKG can be combined with the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program for health checks as well as balanced nutritional intake. Meanwhile, CKG specifically for Pregnant Women and Toddlers targets monthly routine examinations at Posyandu to monitor growth and development, with a more complete examination at the puskesmas on their birthday.*
