Director Lee Byung Hun Withdraws From The Production Of Suzy And Kim Woo Bin Dramas

JAKARTA - Director Lee Byung Hun reportedly resigned from the production of the latest dramas Suzy and Kim Woo Bin, All The Love You Wish For. He is stepping down in the middle of production still running for a broadcast targeted this year.

This news was confirmed by the drama production team which revealed the progress of the project. They said they were assisted by a new director to finish filming.

"It is true that director Lee Byung Hun left the project during production last year for personal reasons," said the production team on Monday, January 27.

They did not reveal the cause of Lee Byung Hun's specific exit, but director Ahn Gil Ho who worked on the series The Glory helped complete the shooting process starting from July 2024.

"We ask for your understanding because we cannot provide information about the timing and reason for the exit of director Lee Byung Hun," he said.

The shooting process has been completed since late October last year and the post-production process is being carried out for the sake of airing this year. They also use CGI to maximize the visuals and stories of this fantasy romance drama.

"All The Love You Wish For requires technical work like CGI, so we are working hard for production. Professional teams from various fields collaborate to make what we expect to be the best project of the year," said the production team.

Lee Byung Hun is a director known as the films Extreme Job and Be Melodramatic. Then, his position was replaced by Ahn Gil Ho who worked on the series Happiness and The Glory.

All The Love You Wish For is played by Kim Woo Bin, Suzy, Ahn Eun Jin, and Noh Sang Hyun tells the story of a genie trapped in a lamp and a woman who helps him get out of prison. This drama was written by Kim Eun Sook who wrote the series Mr. Sunshine, Goblin, and The Glory.
