Exclusive Ari Irham Opens With A New Role For Acting Longer

JAKARTA - At the age of 23, Ari Irham has explored various fields in the entertainment industry. Maybe his name is better known for films, but in fact he explores music, soap operas, and television shows.

He last starred in the film Santet Segoro Pitu where he played Ardi, a child who had a sixth sense but had to be covered up. As an adult, Ardi used this ability to fight the terror his family faced.

"I asked the perspective of people who can see supernatural things and finally I asked (to Sara Wijayanto) and she said 'Yes, you just imagine this, imagine, if we are still in a place in the room or in the room or where, you imagine in the corner of the room someone sees you constantly'," said Ari Irham starting the story to VOI.

"I know what therapy he said, I imagine in my own room and I imagine that in the corner someone saw it so that I could get restlessness and anxiety, stress. And that was enough to help develop Ardi's character," he continued.

More than that, the actor who was born on October 24 really enjoyed the process of making horror films. Although he has only played three titles, he is always open to opportunities that also develop the process of becoming an actor in the future.

The horror film is fun. I really like the long process, I really like the process which when I shape the character, the story and I really like it, I make it dirty, making blood mean it's a new challenge for me and it's fun for actors because we explore different domains than our own," said Ari Irham.

"Actually I like explored new things and I also like to imagine when I was a child, I like music and if for example everything can be lived, why not? And I like music, movie addict, from a young age I like to watch movies, like imagination from childhood and play with relatives and maybe there is a spark from a childhood that can bring me to become an actor and I am very grateful to myself who is still small for doing that," he explained.

The man whose real name is Irham Nuran Harir started his career by becoming a disjoki in 2016. He launched several singles before entering the world of soap operas. Then he briefly appeared as a jockey in the film Promise (2017) and Generation of Micin vs Kevin (2018).

Ari Irham got the lead role in the film After Met You with Yoriko Angeline in 2019. In the same year he was also increasingly known after playing the film Too Handsome, Queen of Black Science, and Rembulan drowned in her grave.

'Process. From the start, from the first film to the film that we live, we have a reading process. From there, maybe a lot of studying with other actors, acting coach and also director and crew at the location. So those experiences can make me grow up to now, "said Ari Irham.

"Maybe by watching a movie it can also grow and every time there is criticism or suggestions, I accept that it becomes self-introspection to be better in the future. The point is that even now, I can't say I'm already good at it but I'm still learning," he said.

When I first entered the world of acting careers, I was still young. Still have a high ego and I was still younger, mostly teenagers and egos were still high. Maybe there are still in the learning process to become an adult at that stage," recalled the 23-year-old actor.

Currently he is more inclined to the world of acting, especially in films. He has done more than 10 films and that is not enough. Different from young actors in general, Ari Irham emphasized that he is very open and does not have the role of the dream he wants to play.

This desire departs from Ari Irham's personality who wants to always explore new roles and stories. He revealed that the science fiction or science fiction genre is a genre that he hopes can be played.

"All the characters I want to play, there is no dream of a game, I really want to play everything because I like to try new things. Trying to find new and new personal roles that can enter into me," he said.

"(Want to play sci-fi) maybe I used to have a very high imagination child. I really like strength, let's try the time machine so because watching Doraemon so I really like it. Let's make bamboo propellers. Like watching movies that make imaginations broad," explained Ari.

Ari Irham added that Indonesian films have the potential to be known globally like other Asian films. Indonesia has the power to tell stories and is very diverse. Therefore, he wants his acting career to be longer at a relatively young age.

"The stories from Indonesian films that are made are very touching and very related to our Indonesian audience but I don't know if the international viewers will touch their hearts, but for us, the current storytelling of Indonesian films can really touch the heart and can be close to the story of our daily lives and that's what makes me interested and that's what makes me grateful to be in Indonesian cinema this year," said the man who idolizes Vino G. Bastian.

"It's just interesting. It's really good acting, it's really good to take pictures. In the past, it was still like that, but it was really good," he said.

Short, congested, and clear, Ari Irham did not deny his desire to become a writer and director. This is considered enough to wrap his experience as an actor.

"My dream in the future wants to be a writer and director. Hopefully that will be achieved. That's all," concluded Ari Irham.
