JAKARTA - The final tribute to rapper DMX will be publicly held in Brooklyn next week.

Rapper DMX passed away last week, April 9 after suffering a heart attack due to an overdose on April 2.

DMX manager Steve Rifkind told TMZ that fans can pay their respects to their idols at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday, April 24.

This final tribute will take place one day before the funeral at a church in New York.

The Mayor of Yonkers, Mike Spano, offered the DMX family to hold a tribute ceremony at Yonkers but the family chose to go to Barclays. This is because DMX grew up in the city.

Amid the grief of fans, DMX music experienced an increase in streaming reaching 928 percent in the United States.

Rapper DMX or short for Dark Man X made his debut in 1998 through the album It's Dark and Hell is Hot. Throughout his life, DMX released five albums and topped the Billboard 200 charts.
