JAKARTA - Research conducted by a team of neuroscientists at the University of College London revealed surprising facts about people who are the perpetrators of bullying. It is said that bullying has a smaller brain physically than the average.

Launching from Futurism, on Friday, December 6, 2024, the research published in the journal The Lancet, researchers used MRI to examine the brains of 652 participants. It was found that the brains of people with a stealing mindset, aggression, violence, bullying, lying, and not having a physical responsibility are different from the brains of other participants.

"Our findings support the idea that for a small fraction of individuals with persistent antisocial behavior throughout life there may be differences in their brain structure," said lead author of the study, Dr Christina Carlisi.

The context of the bullys was found to be thinner and smaller. They have less brain surface area than people's brains instead of bullys.

However, the physical shape of the brain is smaller, it doesn't happen to people who bully when they are teenagers, but as adults don't bully anymore. Carlisi says that these people bully as teenagers because of social problems, not because of their brain structure.

Most people who do anti-social behavior do it especially as a teenager. It's possible as a result of difficult times in socializing, and these people don't show structural differences in the otal," Carlisi said.

"These people are also generally able to repent and become valuable members of society," he continued.
